Picot Bunny Basket

Using paper string or aran cotton yarn and a 4.5mm hook

Slip knot

Chain 2

6 double crochet into second chain from hook (6)

2 double crochet into first stitch, and then in each stitch round (12)

*1 double crochet in first stitch, 2 double crochet in next stitch* repeat round (18)

Double crochet in each stitch round in back loop only (18)

Double crochet in each stitch round (18)

Double crochet in 1st 5 stitches, 2 double crochet in next stitch, double crochet in next 6 stitches, 2 double crochet in next stitch, double crochet in next 5 stitches(20)

Double crochet in each stitch round (20)

Double crochet in each stitch round

Slip stitch into next stitch

Chain 6, double crochet into 3rd chain from hook, chain 3, attach to next stitch with a slip stitch

Slip stitch into next 2 stitches

Chain 6, double crochet into 3rd chain from hook, chain 3, attach to next stitch with a slip stitch

Slip stitch and fasten off

Weave in ends

 

You can add a tail if you wish, a tiny pompom would be cute. I made a paper ball knot for my paper one.
